Designer
- Specify standards that apply to site operations
- Specify special requirements:
- Strength requirements for shutter removal (e.g. slab soffits)
- Curing periods
- Consider experience and training of site supervision and operatives (see Note in Other Guidance below)
Builder
- Set out procedures for good practice in concreting operations
- Handling, placing, compaction and curing
- Additional requirements necessitated by :
- Type of surface finish /formwork
- Colour
- Tolerances
- Monitor outcomes of pours to ensure procedures are effective
- Ensure credentials of sub-contractors meet project requirements
- QA/QC – Pre-pour and post-pour checks
Producer
- Establish delivery procedures to ensure concrete meets requirements
