Testing

				Designer

				- Establish that in-situ concrete element achieves the required properties
- Specify level of testing required on site:
							- Fresh concrete
- Hardened concrete

- Testing of concrete in final structure /element in case of doubt:
							- e.g. cover to reinforcement, strength (cores)

Builder

				- Facilities for storage of cubes, tank, temperature control, testing equipment, etc.
- Tests on fresh concrete to establish compliance with specification
							- E.g. Consistence, air content etc.

- Tests on hardened concrete to establish compliance with specification - E.g. Cube strengths

- Compare results to compliance criteria in Standard
- In-situ testing – Cores, Rebound Hammer, Pull Out
- Is audit supplier’s batching plant required
Producer

				- Routine testing to demonstrate conformity with Standard - For fresh concrete – slump testing
- For hardened concrete – cube testing

- Analysis to show conformity
- Testing required for development of project specific mixes
